
A cooperation between Messe Frankfurt avantex and Karstadt Warenhaus AG – idea, concept and performance: 8 roadshows in a time frame of two months feature innovative garment concepts with the products of 14 international textile companies and research institutes. Kick-off was in the flagship store KADEWE in Berlin (autumn 2003). In every city the "textile future show" was performed during three days. The most prestigious department stores of Karstadt had been chosen as venues: Hamburg, Mülheim/Ruhr, Düsseldorf, Dresden, München and Frankfurt/ Main.
For the first time in Germany high-tech products and future oriented garment concepts were shown to the consumer in a multimedia presentation at the point of sale. In a combination of live show and video explanations prototypes as well as recently commercialized textile products of 14 companies/institutes were featured on a test-marketing platform. The "textile future show" gave consumers a broad overview on future fashion trends and accessories featuring security, wellness, health and communication.
